I have a new-to-me 2003 CRF450R. It runs strong, starts easy. Only problem I have is 2 times when going up a very steep hill, it cut out on me completely. Started right back up on level ground. I've tugged and shook the wires to see if my kill switch was grounding out, but it did nothing, so I think it is a carb issue, possible a float level. Any ideas?

if you were to wire it into the orange it will kill the motor.
do you get spark with kill switch on? if so definately wrong.
most kill switches go inline to the coil.
get some fresh fuel and try

i used to own a yz426f and it had the exact problem... a fresh plug will fix your problem. change the plug and the bike will run great. also don't start the bike and shut it off , my bike would be fine if i started it and rode for a while getting to the proper heat range help save the plug. if my bike didn't start in one or two kicks it was usually the plug.
hope this helps

May be a decompression problem. What gear do you use when you pull it?
SOURCE: Torque settings on the clutch inner hub and clutch
The clutch inner hub torque values ar 7.5Nm or 7.5n-kg or 54 ft-lb.
The clutch springs torque to 8Nm or 0.8m-kg or 5.8 ft-lb.
I don't get paid for my answers and I am only trying to help. But I do take pride in them. So if you will, > > > > A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!
