Oil pressure gauge quit working. truck ran fine all the way to work. truck started up fine after work. then the check engine light came on. I unhooked the battery terminal and rehooked it, now my key fob doesn't work and the truck will not click or crank. the radio comes on and some dummy lights. but I can't even turn on dome lights.

The throttle body needs cleaning. It has some carbon build up, and when the battery went dead the computer lost its learned values, one of which is base throttle position. Now its reset back to factory specs, not accounting for a dirty throttle body. Seen it a million times

Sounds like starter selanoid, but first make sure battery connections are clean and tight, if sure they are then turn on headlights and try to start if still clicks and lights dim its starter.

Check your ignition module. If that is not it, I recommend checking your ignition switch i.e. the thing you insert you key into when you start. There is a possibility that your ignition switch is bad.

Could it be that the oil pressure sending unit went out wich made the oil pressure gauge quit working, which made the check engine light come on? Then because the truck is now not reading oil pressure, the computer won't allow the truck to start? If so, why did it start twice before with those problems?
It is a 2007 Chevy Silverado 4X4 Z71
