How to improve engine by modification?

I have bajaj discover 125-DTSI engine . I bought it last year 31 july 2008 .I heard that engine can be improved by modification .Please tell me how can i improve my engine & which parts should i buy to improve my engine power, accelation, top-speed,handling, etc........

    before i ask question i want to tell u that u have told me that "do u no if its restricted m8,, it may be that it is, b4 i can tell u u need to find out if it has been restricted,, restricters are found in the carb,,or plug cap".
    how can i find out if it is has been restricted or not.
    plz tell me the sol. as soon as possible bcoz i wnt to modify my engine of bajaj discover 125.

There is a simple trick to improve your bike performance.. here it is. put 3-4 holes in your bike silencer.. thats it. it can improve your bike pickup.. acceleration. sound.. speed.. etc etc.
