KLX 250 won't fire - new battery

I have a 2006 Kawasaki KLX 250 that I can't get to fire. Any suggestions. I don't have the manual to the bike so I can't look to see what they suggest.

Basics > Do you have spark? Got gas? Gas turned on? Kill switch off? Sidestand up? Good battery? Clean air filter?

Drain the carb then remove the water trap bowl, ( if you have one ), from the bottom of the gas valve. Dump the bowl then drain a cup of gas from the tank. Any water in the bottom of the cup?

-check the fuse right hand side below the fuel tank and seat, see if it is blown.
- Check to see if plug has spark, replace if necessary .
- Did you run the bike with a low battery before replacing it? could be that your stator is shot.
-Is bike trying to start but won't?

I AM LOOKING AT A 2006 KLX 250 W/BIG BORE KIT.IS THAT A GOOD UPGRADE.

boring over increases power but reduces durability. If you're looking to race, it's good but if you just want a reliable toy, I'd get a stock bike
