Check for injector pulse, if not present trace wiring/plugs etc. if you have a pulse then has to be a mechanical issue. Check timing , compression .

98 dodge ram 1500 5.9 truck has been sitting for 2 years with a blown ****** got the ****** rebuilt and installed it back in the truck but wont start has spark and fuel at rail but injectors wont fire

98 so its a older vehicle ?? Well i know nothing about layout of this american vehicle but for its age check the fuel rail as on the end is a vacumn controlled valve so make sure its connected and the vacumn pipe isnt cracked or perished ,Anything else i have no idea sorry dont see these motors here in spain very often unless its on a imported camper van but these are normally all diesel ,have seen a 7.2 litre ford E350 petrol though but running on a gas conversion

I have a 97 s10 just swaped 2.2 motors both ran going in to the shop now it cranks and i have spark and fuel going to the rail but wont start if you spray starting fuild it starts on it then dies

If you have fuel at the rail, and a spark, then your problem is either a clogged fuel rail or clogged injectors. Try cleaning or replacing the fuel rail first, then the injectors if that doesn't work.

New battery, new alternator, still wont start

    • 1 Ensure that your battery cables are properly connected to the battery.
    • 2 Start your car.
    • 3 Let the car run for around half an hour. Most cars idle fast enough that the alternator will be able to charge a battery while sitting at idle.
    • 4 Turn off your engine and test your electrical systems. If they work properly, your battery has been charged. If they do not work, or are sporadic, turn your car back on and drive around for another half hour. After the drive, your car's battery should be sufficiently charged.

My 2000 yamaha r1 has no battery why wont it start with a car batery everything else works fine

It is OK to use a car battery to run the cycle if it is 12 volt to 12 volt. If the battery is still in an automobile, DO NOT HAVE THE CAR RUNNING. This can damage your motorcycles electric system. Also be careful not to crank your starter motor to long . You will over heat it and burn it out. If the cycle will not start you may have a plugged fuel system or WET fouled spark plugs. Make sure your fuel system is clean, you have fresh fuel , and if the plugs are wet try a new set of plugs. If you tried to jump start the bike from a car battery in a car that was running, you may have much more serious issues to deal with ( CDI , pulse pick ups, coils, etc.)

I have a 94 Q45 with fuel pump problems , I installed anew fuel pump now have good pressure, but car still wont start.do you have any suggestion on what else it could be

A bad fuel pressure regulator (underhood on the fuel rail) could cause it. If the FPR is bad, the rail won't pressurize enough to get the proper fuel in there to start and run the car.

92 jeep cherokee wont stay running

Check the fuel injectors and rails for clogging or maybe a seized up ECU. my only other thought is that your throttle position sensor may be shot.

I have a 1995 impala ss with lt1 motor it wont start i changed the cap&rotor, starter, ingnition modulator, fuel filter and it still wont start

First thing I'd check is the optispark sub harness. Check both connections, the one by the optispark and the one on the passenger side of the intake manifold. Disconnect both sides and check for corrosion. This is a known weak spot on these motors.

If that checks out your going to want to start with the basics. Do you have spark and fuel? Pull the spark plug wire for a cylinder and using a spark tester test for spark while cranking. You want to have a nice blue spark. If you have good spark check for fuel pressure by hooking up a fuel pressure gauge to the shrader valve on the fuel rail. It should be in the high 40s - low 50s. If you have fuel also, check to make sure the injectors are getting a pulse using a noid light.
