petrol is low swtch to reserve or clean your fuel **** they have filters on them may be block this happens from time to time and check you have a good spark
I can share with your sentiment there. Here's are some of my ideas, you'll need to be patient enough though.
the jets you used, is it the stock replacement or a bigger one? I would recommend using the stock jets to eliminate the possibility of it being the cause. Tune your engine using a timing light, synchronize the carburetors so each intake manifold receives the same amount of fuel on throttle. Drain the fuel form the carb reservoir (or clean the whole carbs including the jets). Adjust the air-fuel mix to standard or 2.5 -3.5 turns out. Check for hose dents and check for proper plug firing.
Make sure cylinder compression is also good otherwise you'll suffer power loss on peak RPMs at high speeds.
The above process should eliminate any possibility with regards engine idling and poor idling.
To answer your question regarding valve clearance you'll need to download the manual to assist you on dissassembly. You'll need to remove the top cover on the engine and use a feeler gauge for adjustments. I'm not sure how to find the TopDeadCenter of this particular bike but the manual should.
How old is your battery? Has it been overcharged? The battery voltage at rest should read 12.8Volts when fully charged. If, when it is charging from the engine, the voltage exceeds 14.8Volts, suspect an overcharge as that will damage the battery and reduce its output power. I can't see there are any shorting problems as you would notice the hot wire smell. I remember my old Honda 4 had a battery overcharging problem, many years ago, causing the side lamps to flatten the battery within half an hour. There was no regulator fitted to that old model, all it had was a large Zener Diode to stop the voltage going too high and mine was open circuit, boiling the battery! Hope that helps.
Hi ,
Make sure to use premium fuel first .
Also your spark plugs could be old or not he correct ones as you could have plugs "too hot or cold " for your bike depending of the weather .
try this to start first
Stock plug is NGK CR9E, but Denso Irridium IU27 is best. Cost more but better economy and starting.
Any manufacturer will have the equivalent NGK plug for your bike on their chart, with two or three types for your preferred riding style.
Cheers.
start with one full turn then move a quarter turn listen to engine revs will increase u might have to turn down the idle speed keep doing this till the engine speed stops increasing.take it arun then check colour of spark plugs they should be browny gray
