Screeching noise in 1st gear

I have a 99reg 125cc Suzuki Marauder. Its screeching in 1st gear and have to immediatly put it into 2nd. Only happening last two days but it did get soaking wet (Irish weather) if this has a bearing on the problem. Is it serious and how can I fix it? Thank you for any help you can provide!

Try draining the transmission oil, then in neutral and the back tire elevated slowly rotate the tire in first gear. If you feel any hesitation chances are you need to change the 1st gear bearing.

SOURCE: Tyre Pressure

As always, correct pressure depends on the tyre fitted but if it is running with the standard tyres that it had fitted from new then:
Single rider: Front is 1.75 bar (25 PSI) Rear 2.0 (29 PSI)
Fully loaded (Panniers and or pillion passenger) Front 2.0 bar (29 PSI) Rear 2.25 bar (32 PSI)

These settings from the book for a 2006 model, though I imagine that they apply to all with very little if any variation

SOURCE: I want to clean the baffles on the exhaust of my 2002 suzuki

hi your exhaust is a sealed item, also your bike is a 4 stroke, why would you need to clean the baffles?only reason these would block up is if you are burning oil,if you are then i would think about a top end overhaul

SOURCE: Bike turns off when I put in 1st or 2nd gear

First replace the clutch, clutch basket, and throw out bearing that has been destroyed, check the cable for damage and if you still have the same problem,Then check the kick stand switch.

SOURCE: hi my suzuki gs500 is hard to get in 2nd gear in

This sounds like a slightly bent shift fork. Extremely dirty gearbox oil can also cause the problem, so I suggest you start there. The fork replacement is very costly. Have a dealer look at it if changing oil doesn't help. Get their opinion first hand and get a quote on repair costs.

Maybe- are the diameter of the fork legs the same and are the fork leg measurements the same centre to centre?

Its possible but hard to answer with out the above information.

Strange noise coming from transmission

There are 2 rods inside the transmission that had each gear on. The upper rod which is also the input shaft that goes through the clutch has 1, 3, 5. The lower rod that sits right under it has the other gears on it. Each one of those rods have bearings on each end. The upper rod may bearing may be bad and may have come apart inside the trans.

I have a suzuki marauder gz 125cc 99reg. It was driving fine up to a couple of days ago but now it really screeches in first gear and I have to immediately put it into second. Any reason why this woul

The most likely cause is the clutch plates have worn out. You have to consider that these 125s are usually ridden by beginners, this means that they will be revved out in ,at least, the first 3 gears.

Screeching noise after water starts going in

Hi just read your posting. Now put the machine to a spin cycle and push start,Does the noise happen in this cycle? If the noise doesn't happen then try a cold water fill but turn the hot tap off first. If the noise still doesn't happen then try a hot water fill but turn the cold water off first. This noise sounds like one of your water valves is faulty. Please reply with additional information on the questions and I am sure we can rectify this fault.

Loud screeching noise coming from car after stops.

the screeching noise is most likely caused by a slipping belt or pully. transmission probably needs fluid and filter changed.
