I purchased a used 2001 HD Heritage Classic Softail. My bike turns over but doesn't start. When I purchased the bike the previous owner didn't write down the Security Systems Personal Code. How do I reset it? That seems to be why it won't start in the first place @

If this is occuring everytime you ride the bike and always when it gets warm. I would think there is a good chance that the sensor in the timing cover is getting hot and then developing a short. You can replicate this synario by taking a hair dryer and warming the cam cover around the timing plate, if the bike wont start after warming the timing cover then you have a bad ignition sensor plate. if the bike still starts you can also try the same technique with the ignition module itsself which should on that model be located behind the battery. heat causes shorts in those 2 items quite often. try it out and let me know what happened.
after it shuts off, are you able to turn the engine over as if trying to start it? does it just turn over and not fire? or will it turn over at all? if it does turn over after it shuts off, immediately pull the plugs and check for spark. and also see if the plugs are wet with fuel.

Set the alarm by holding the key fob button until you see running lights flash twice. Turn off the alarm by pushing the key fob button twice and the lights will flash once.

SOURCE: What engins were availabel on the 2006 Harley
Only one the 88 cubic inch. There are other models that were CVO bikes with 1250 CC motors (VROD) and other with 103" (FatBoy & Electra Glide). Hope this helps.
