Need to make a compression test on each cylinder in case you need a new cylinder head gasket, test the thermostat and check that the radiator fan works ok.Also after installing a new battery (which you should cause the old one will damage you regulator eventually) check that the charging system works ok.

If it's ignition-timing it's designed not to be altered or set, why do you need to set it?

SOURCE: where do fuel lines connect to on 92 zzr 250

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On a ZZR250, the only fuel line is from the petc0ck to the Tee between the carbs.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Hi, there is water mixed with the oil in the sump. Water is evaporating and running from somewhere on top of the engine . I suspect its coming out of an overflow but not sure. should I just put new oil?

You need to find out where the water is coming from and repair that. If it's an internal leak and entering the engine you will burn the engine up. Do not run the engine with ANY water in the oil.

Mistake #1, never try to jump start a motor bike, you may have blown the on board PC unit, best bet is to take it to good Kawka mechanic and let them fix it, bikes these days are fairly complicated..

I have a Kawasaki ZZR 250. Just bought it. Started well. After a drive Inparked on a steep driveway. When trying to start rev's would only get to 1000 even with full throttle. After 10 minutes tried it...

One or both of the floats are stuck open giving the carbs fuel constantly. The extra fuel runs into the intake, fills the cylinder, gets past the piston rings and then fills the gearbox and overflows onto the floor. Pull the carbs and clean them. Some trash, ( such as rust from the tank ), is not letting the float needle to seat. Be sure to sync and balance the carbs after re-installing. Also, turn off the gas at the tank when you are not riding. If you already are doing this, the petcock must not be shutting off properly and needs to be replaced. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
