make sure ther is not water in the belt housing there is a drain plug down by th botom of the floor board

sounds like the shop messed up. one way clutch in backwards or gear in wrong. If timing off would hit valve and lock up

Backfiring is usually a result of the timing being incorrect, this can also be a result of a bad valve.

Remove the spark plugs and check for sparks. Also it sounds like the fuel sensor on the bottom of the pump is either unplugged or bad. Disconnect the gas level sender wire at the bottom of the tank (not the fuel pump. Turn on the ignition (do not start) and check the gauge. Then put a jumper in-between those two wires and check and see if the gauge registers full. If it does read full, your problem is in the sending unit (could very well be the float arm disconnected). It's pretty rare for the windings to wear out in the sending unit and more likely the float is off or is binding in the tank(possibly jammed up against the side of the tank in the low end of the tank.Siphon / remove most of the gas from the tank and see if you can see the float / float arm. If you can, use a coat hanger modified (bent with a small hook at the end) to see if the float arm will come up easily (it should).

Did you check spark before or after the spark plugs? Replace the plugs (or at least check their gaps). Also remember, you need three things for ignition: air, fuel, spark. You've been checking fuel and spark, but not mention of decent air flow. Is your air filter plugged?

The red blinking light is just an indicator that the motor has been revved up in neutral or park. I really don't know the importance of it, but I know you have to turn the key off and back on to get it to go off. Everytime I am checking a water pump on a grizzly that happens.

Check your clutch cable and adjust it so your clutch will engage in lower RPM's, replace the cable if it will no longer adjust. If you replace the cable and it still takes higher RPM to get it moving then you will need to replace the clutch

Sounds like a needle jet is stuck rich. Pull air filter and look in the carb then turn throttle to see if the jet needle goes up and down

Yes indeed a burnt coil would produce very low speed, but if 2 coils are burnt out then it can spin in the opposite direction.. Low engine oil level will eventuality result in drying out the clutch/gear assembly. Also get the dynamo checked along with the charging rectifier(battery charger)---. It is possible that the dynamo generating more current & the rectifier passed it along, causing a short. Which eventually got to the starter and maybe has burnt out 2 coils instead of 1 !? ...sodeep

CHECK VALVE CLEARANCES(INTAKES MOSTY) IS IT ONLY HARD TO START AFTER IT HAS BEEN RUNNING(HOT) OR IS IT HARD TO START COLD TOO?

You may have a bad connection to the meter. Check for corrosion or bad connection.

Inner or outter?? The outter cv joint doesn't come apart. If you rip the outter boot, you need to get a new half shaft. The inner cv joint has a clip inside that you have to take out to split the joint and install a new boot. You also need boot clamp pliers to tighten the clamps or it will come back off first time you ride it.

My guss is the steering bearing has become stiff, raise the front wheel of the ground turn from left to right the action should be smooth, any roughness would indicate bearing failure, poss got damp and become rusted, if you have a damper fitted check it is slackened off all the way while doing this check

I take it you mean there are no flats left on the nut. If that is correct, can you get mole grips on it and wind it off?
