You should be able to slide the front forks down in the tripleclamp about 2" up front. In the back you will have to buy or make lowering brackets. You might be able to modify the factory rear linkage if you take your time with it... Good luck and happy motorcycling. HDTV GURU JAY

Starts with choke pulled out, but when choke pushed in it quits

If the choke has to be on for the engine to run then there is a lean fuel mixture problem, and chek for a loose carburetor, intake bolts, dis-connected or missing vacuum lines/caps, or damaged carburetor or intake gaskets. Also, the engine idle rpm might be too low, the air/fuel mixture might be too lean, or the carburetor could be plugged up internally.

What do I need to buy and do to tune up on a 2006

Remove the carb, take it apart, soak the floats and bowl in a pan of solvent for an hour or more.
Get new plug and fuel filter. Check that the coil provides a good strong spark. Remove fuel tank and drain all remaining fuel, unless you used a bottle of stabil in the tank which you should do any time it sits over season.
Fresh gas, fuel and air filter and plug and oil should do the trick.

Remove clutch pack on yamaha tw-200

Remove the side cover that the is hiding behind. The pessure plate is like a car, held on by bolts on its perimeter. Remove the pressure plate and the disc can be remove. Remember the first dis is fiber, the next is metal and on and on. You should end with a fiber against the flywheel. Note how the notches on the tangs are arranged. facing out or facing in, aligned or staggared. Soake the fiber disd in motor cycle motor oil for an hour before assembly. If there is an alen screw with a lock nut in the center of the pressure plat, that is a pusrod and will need adjusting after assembly and before the side cover is put on. If so, let me know. I have a 1997 tw200. It runs and idles fine, but

Sound like it could be a problem with the side-stand cut-off switch. (It is to prevent you riding away with the side-stand down.) They are notorious for getting crud in them and sticking.

Hope this helps!

Elusive neutral when shifting up or down on 2006 model

The torsion spring on the stopper lever assembly is probably weak. The stopper wheel indexes into a depression on a segment mounted to the end of the shift drum. Pull the right case cover off and then pull the clutch basket off if the stopper wheel arm is not accessible with the clutch in place. Mount the new spring then re-assemble. Part number for the spring is 90508-26539-00.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. Look at " shift cam fork " item #9. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part, the part is not in stock.

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives.
Please consider a top rating for this solution. Thanks!
