2007 Triumph Bonneville T100 Questions & Answers
Hi
I'm currently working on a
G'day.
Yes your right but I recomend not fiting it.-The're a constant form of trouble.
Replace it with an aftermarket in line filter-they come in clear so you can see any rubbish that may get caught in them-much more efective.
You can purchace them from most good motorbike shops.Take your fuel hose with you so you can get an in-line filter with the right size spigot to suit your diameter hose.
I hope this is helpfull

Engine cuts out in heavy rain
The ignition system is getting wet. There are sealer compounds that can be sprayed on the cables but if you look at the output from the coil and seal the cables, that may fix it.
I have scratch like marks appearing under the
Because the wheels are alloy and covered in a clear coat, the marks you see are corrosion creeping up under the clear coating.I owned a powder coating plant and we coated wheels.Bikes and cars.Whether these are powdercoated or not,the problem is a small void in the coating.Usually on a sharp edge.Corrosion gets in and starts creeping and there is not a lot you can do if the warrenty is void. You also see it in side cover plates on a lot of bikes. It is minor and will not affect the bike accept for cosmetic looks.I would pursue the warrenty because it is a known and ongoing problem.Hope this helps
'07 Triumph Bonneville idles but wont accelerate
What happens when you try to accelerate?
Does the exhaust smell 'weird' when it's idling?
The most likely problem, especially with the bike sitting up during summer, would be gas has gone stale. If the bike sits long enough, the gas will actually turn into a varnish.
Drain the tank, refill with fresh gas, and let it run a while.
Basically, you have to run out whatever gas is between the tank and the cylinders, so the fresh gas can get to the cylinders.
I'd put a box fan blowing on the front of the bike to help keep the ehat down. Blip the throttle after a few inutes. Depending onhow much old gas is 'stored' in the fuel lines and such, it may take 10 or 20 minutes to burn out the old gas. Keep blipping every few minutes, and let it cool down after 20 minutes. Some bikes have short fuel path and clear in 2 minutes at idle, I've seen custom setups that took over an hour.
Signalminder Problem
Do you have the jumper switches set correctly? I can't think of anything else, unless you got a defective one. There's nothing to do but set the jumpers and plug it in.
I have a 1967 BSA
rough guess it is the carbys
long time no fuel causes problems with the needle and seat and corrosion and gunk in the bowls,
pull they and fully overhaul them

1997 triumph daytona 955i. Battery. Is not charging while im riding it. Why ??
There are several possible reasons why the battery on your 1997 Triumph Daytona 955i may not be charging while you are riding it:
- The battery may be faulty. If the battery is not holding a charge or is not functioning properly, it will not be able to charge while you are riding the motorcycle.
- The charging system may malfunction. The charging system is responsible for supplying power to the battery while the motorcycle is running. If the charging system is not functioning properly, the battery will not be able to charge.
- The voltage regulator may be malfunctioning. The voltage regulator is a component of the charging system that regulates the voltage supplied to the battery. If the voltage regulator is not functioning properly, the battery may not be able to charge.
- The battery cables or connections may be loose or damaged. If the battery cables or connections are loose or damaged, the battery will not be able to receive a charge.
To troubleshoot the problem, you should start by checking the battery to see if it is functioning properly. If the battery is not the issue, you will need to check the charging system and voltage regulator to see if they are functioning properly. If the problem persists, it is recommended that you have the motorcycle inspected by a qualified mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.
