2006 Triumph Bonneville T100 leaky head gasket

G'Day,
For the price you have been quoted, it may be that it just requires to be re-torqued to pull up the leak. Or even just a resealing of the cam/valve gear covers. Changing the head gasket would be somewhat more work/expense. This is a fairly easy task to accomplish if you have some spanner experience, a torque pattern to follow, and the tools to do it. If you have no tools, then it could cost you $200 for a cheap torque wrench, socket set, other tools you will need.
Any time you start tearing down a motorcycle, good idea to go get yourself should get yourself a workshop manual(click here for a Haynes $42.95)to start. This is where you can get knowledge on how to strip down the bike to the point you can do it, and also correct sequence / procedure for torquing the head to spec. You would need to pull the tank, seat, and so on, good experience if you wanna get your fingers dirty. Get into it if you are game.

I have a 2006 T100

The hot pipe is running a lean fuel / air mix. Chances are outside air is getting into the intake manifold by getting past the mounting clamps between the carb and the cylinder. A cracked rubber manifold, burned exhaust valve, loose spark plug or bad head gasket are other possibilitys. Is there any chance a previous owner has a smaller main jet in one carb than the other? Are the spark plugs both the same? Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Have a heavy rattle in bonnie 865 motor when hot only 4,300 klm

Pinking is usually a sign of a low octane fuel, altitude or high temps that can sometimes be lessened by retarding the ignition timing a few degrees i.e. the plug sparks when the piston is closer to TDC. This is not always easily possible on modern bikes with the ignition advance/****** controlled by an ignitor box rather than a mechanical points type set-up.

Severe pinking for long periods can & will burn a hole through the piston crown. If a higher grade fuel is unavailable, try finding some sort of octane booster to add to the fuel (off road shop?).

2001 Triumph 600TT. I purchased it missing a kickstand and tip over sensor. Where do I go from here to get it running?

Parts Suppliers. The normal thing to think is "I'll just bypass them", but the tip over sensor cuts power to the engine if you drop the bike riding it. https://www.google.com/search?q=2001+Triumph+600TT+kickstand+and+tip+over+sensor ..

1997 triumph daytona 955i. Battery. Is not charging while im riding it. Why ??

There are several possible reasons why the battery on your 1997 Triumph Daytona 955i may not be charging while you are riding it:
  1. The battery may be faulty. If the battery is not holding a charge or is not functioning properly, it will not be able to charge while you are riding the motorcycle.
  2. The charging system may malfunction. The charging system is responsible for supplying power to the battery while the motorcycle is running. If the charging system is not functioning properly, the battery will not be able to charge.
  3. The voltage regulator may be malfunctioning. The voltage regulator is a component of the charging system that regulates the voltage supplied to the battery. If the voltage regulator is not functioning properly, the battery may not be able to charge.
  4. The battery cables or connections may be loose or damaged. If the battery cables or connections are loose or damaged, the battery will not be able to receive a charge.
To troubleshoot the problem, you should start by checking the battery to see if it is functioning properly. If the battery is not the issue, you will need to check the charging system and voltage regulator to see if they are functioning properly. If the problem persists, it is recommended that you have the motorcycle inspected by a qualified mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.
