Hi I have a rmz 450 on a 06 and the valves needed

If the timing is right and you have spark, then it could only be a fuel issue. Does it have enough fuel getting to it? Have you checked the needle and seat in the carbs for wear or debris. Try undoing the fuel bowl drain plug and let some fuel out, if nothing comes out, try turning your fuel on. If on, and it is a vacuum tap. Check that you are getting good vacuum for the fuel to come out. If it is a gravity feed, take the hose off the carb and turn tap on to see if enough fuel is running out.

2005 RM-Z 450 little rattle coming from engine

My friend, you havn't checked the oil (you say you don't know how) and you are talking about a rebuild?!? Whoa! Slow down a little bit. Back up the horse. The very first thing you do - before you do anything else - is check the fluids! NO EXCEPTIIONS. Should be checked before EVERY RIDE. Your life depends on this! Anything you can't find or don't understand, you ask the seller - standing right there with YOUR money in his or her hand. Find and read the owners manual - find the tool kit - find and check the battery. Look at the tires, wear, alignment, pressure. Check all electrical items, lights, horn, starter etc. DO NOT move this motorcycle until you know how to check the fluids and find them to be proper. Your motorcycle is potentially 14 years old. To protect your investment, take your RM-Z 450 to the Suzuki dealer in your town and get it put into proper condition. After you do these things - NOW is the time to show it off to your friend.

Check the valve clearances first.Check the spark plug to be tightened to the specific torque. If still no compression, you need to disassemble the engine and check the valve seat's, cylinder head's gasket and the piston rings to be everything within specifications limits.

I changed water pump drive

The kick starter has a gear that should be intertwined with the back of the clutch basket .If its got bit misaligned then it will not let the gear to turn over.------- but if that gear or fitting is not the problem then other possibility is clutch basket bolt.---------The clutch basket bolts are not tight enough, they are getting bit loose inside the gearbox.Reinspect this bolts.------ Also check the washers, clutch plates and inspect that clutch plates are not dried out .--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Yes just bought a rmz 450 2010 new from the honda

Perhaps the jetting is not quite right, popping can be too lean, try raising the needle a notch, check first by seeing if it does it with the choke on, if you change anything keep notes so you can change it back if no better

What tempature should my rmz 450 run at? Also why

The cooling system on the RM-Z450 was designed for motocross and only works efficiently with air flowing through the radiator. You should not sit at idle for more than a minute or two if at all possible. The extreme high output of this engine causes extremely high exhaust output temperature. The pipe temps can reach 600-800 degrees F plus all the way back to the silencer. This is normal on all modern racing 4-strokes. There are a lot of aftermarket products available that help increase the cooling system efficiency. There are also several products that help insulate critical areas from engine and exhaust heat including shields for fuel tanks/lines, the carb/throttle body, rear shock, and plastic body work.

Remove the fuel injector and inspect for any damage/wear to the o-ring seals. Their also maybe fuel getting past the valve stem seals. All depends on how many hours on the bike and how hard it has been riden,

Cant seem to get fuel to chamber, checked pump with

If the fuel is coming out of the fuel pipe if you release it, from the carb. inlet, it must be a blockage in the card needle valve. Take the float chamber base off and see if fuel is coming out when the fuel is on. If it is, then that bit is OK.

I have a 06 rmz 450 and it is geting hard to kick

Chances are you need to do a complete tune up. This means a new spark plug, cleaning the carb, new air filter and new piston rings. I would also re-seat the valves. Any further top end work ( replacing valves, bore cylinder and new piston ) is entirely based on what is found after tearing into the head.
