02 katana no power nothing no lights cant find the main fuse
Remove your seat and in that compartment you'll find your battery and right next to that(depends on what year your bike is)will be another fuse box with a 30 amp fuse in it..Inspect that fuse box for continuity and replace the fuse..When I had a Katana that's what I did and also found the same fusebox in a similar location on my 98 gsxr 750(SRAD)hope this helps..
Test for charging system of gsx 600f
A general procedure for all charging systems is to begin with a voltmeter connected to the battery. charge your battery, with everything off you should read 12 to 13.2 volts. Turn your key/bike on and note the voltage over like 15 seconds. It shouldn't drop a whole lot, if it does your battery may be suspect (motorcycle batteries don't last long unless you buy a better "dry type).
Next, start the bike, the voltage should move up to around 14-15 volts or a little more, and stay steady, and increase a little if you take the engine up to like 2000rpm. If it doesn't change at all, or if it goes way up, or fluctuates, you need to look into your charging system. Give this a try and write back your results. Best of luck
2002 katana wont move in gear after a loud clunk in gear case?
It sounds as if the clutch actuating rod has either failed or is not set up properly. Unless you know the complete history of a new (secondhand ) motor you should treat it as broken until proved otherwise. The problem with this type of bike is that younger riders use them as they are cheap and fast. So, they will go as fast as they can, but without looking after the bike. Probably the reason the engine was available in the first place.

What grade of fuel can
According to the manual any fuel with an octane of at least 87 and preferably unleaded.
So, any fuel will be OK. No need to waste money on high octane stuff.
Hope that helps.
#1 and #4 coil not firing.it is a 2002 600 katana
check pulse coil generator system...i had a similar problem and found out that one of the two pickups was burnt. mine was on the left side of the bike under side case cover but i just followed the wire harness up till i got to the first disconnect and ohmd out the four wires looking for 400-450 ohms...well i only got 136ohms on one and the other was completely open. Also make sure your getting 12v to the coil... turn key on and just probe the little wires on the coil till you find it. then you'll know that its not a broken wire at least. Can i get some feed back, Thanks!
Where can i find the procedure for adjusting the
Here is a link to the shop manual:
http://rapidshare.com/files/45256246/Haynes_Suzuki_GSX600F_GSX750F_GSX_750_98-02.pdf
Its quite a large file 65 meg but will have good instructions. The valve adjustments will be the same for 600F model as the 600.
Switch
The original wires are color coded > red to red, black to black, orange/ white to oarange/white etc.
Please rate this solution. Thanks!
Where is the choke on
I don't know where your choke is physically located. I would say to you, follow the cable to find the choke and I say it will be on the carb or very near it in the air supply channel.
Function of the choke is to restrict the supply of air thereby making the fuel mix more rich (relatively more gasoline to air) for easier starting.
I think you will find the choke easily. Whether you can easily manipulate it directly instead of via the remote location - different question. My guess is it will be difficult to operate. Make your riding experience pleasurable, replace the broken parts. Find parts at your Suzuki motorcycle shop or at a FixYa.com advertiser. Look around this page for advertisements for Suzuki parts.
Thanks for your question. I hope I have been of some assistance to you today.
How do i check the transmission fluid on a 1999 suzuki katana
The 99 Suzuki Katana does not use transmission fluid, the engine oil, 10w-40 4 stroke motorcycle oil, is the engine and transmission lubricant, that's why it's called a wet clutch on bikes. It goes all in the same hole right above the rear brake. It gets sumped around the oil cooler (looks like radiator, but cools the oil not water) then it comes around and continues to cycle through engine, gear housing etc.
