is the fuel old? have you checked to see if your getting a spark to the plugs? when was the last time you started the bike?

Check battery and make sure all terminals/connections clean

Yes , the motor oil on the crank case lubricates the piston crankshaft area and the transmission area. One oil bath for the entire motor.Use any oil that is JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate. 20w-50 for warm climate/touring. Car oils use different additives and may cause scoring in certain types of cam bearings . Do not use any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label . It will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. If you use Synthetic oils, they will help your motorcycle run cooler and shift easier

It is probably the small differential on your front wheel. Most of these little devils are plastic and can be worn in zero time if not properly greased. You got to remove the wheel, and check it out.

Hello. Go to an auto body and paint shop and get some BRONZE wool [like steel wool only it won't scratch the spokes and rims. Also consider picking up a rust remover like CLR [calcium, lime and rust remover].

Fuel is coming out of the overflow probably because the float valve is not working well.
1st try tapping the carburetor float chamber gently with the handle of a hammer or suchlike that usually settles things down

A horrible agony to die that way.
Seems you have a back pressure coming out the wrong way, check your valves opening and closing performance and its timing perhaps it will revive it back again.

Check your plug wire at the coil. if the bike has been sitting you may need to clean the carb. also clean your plug you could have fouled.

there is only one fuel line. It goes from the tank to the carb. The other line on the carb is a vent and isn't connected to anything

Possibly throtle is sticking or "hanging-up". Lube and test throttle cable assembly. Make sure you can twist throttle and it snaps back nicely.

The **** can run without a battery but the lights,horn,signal cooling fan,etc,needs a battery to run properly.

clean all jets in carb.idle jet is a long jet with 6 to 8 holes no the side & 1 on the bottom.

remover all plastic/ rubber parts
then soak the whole carb body and slow jet in lacquer thinner

the slow speed jet/needle circuit needs to be cleaned with just 1 strand from 18 gauge copper wire going through all passages an holes pilot circuit in pic

change the cdi it isn't working

Yes the Kawasaki KLR 250 has a battery albeit almost as small as a 6 volt battery we all played with in 5th grade science class. The 2002 model uses a 12 volt, 4 AH. FBL4L-A

Possible weak coil or battery.

Hi Dave: I just bought my first KLR yesterday and a service manual came with it. Check the milage on yours?????? Really ony 2,200? That's barely broken in and amazing for a '94. The hiss from the airbox would indicate a bad intake valve or at least that I would be checking compression to start trying to figure it out.

TRY BLOWING OUT THE MAIN JET ,IF CARBY IS STILL OFF.MAKE SURE YOUR AIR CLEANER IS CLEAN.
