Kmx 2002 exhaust manifold bolts
if the bolts still connected to the head and wont come out it would be easier to use a tap and di set to make a new thread and then get a bolt to fit
Kmx125 02 cuts out at 6000rpm
Hi, I'd try undoing the drain plug in the bottom of the carby and turning the fuel on for a few secs to flush the bowl out, may just be a little water or dirt in there. Also, check your air filter's as it should be, and check if fuel comes out the fuel line from the tank at the correct rate, may be a blocked fuel filter or tap, hope this helps :)

keep the carb tight but breathable.
change the gasket and the replace the tubes. KMX oem carbs are pretty good, just have to take care of it with the right tuning and perioding cleaning.

I have a kawasakikmx 125 which had a slipping kick
I can't find a diagram of the position of the spring when connected, but I can describe it, the spring has 1 straight end that connects through in the hole in the shaft of the kick start, and a bent one protruding out of the bottom of the spring at a kind of right angle. This one goes into the casing of the engine not the case cover, if you look around the edge of the casing, just below where the kick start assembly goes you should see a hole that holds no purpose. That where the other end of the spring goes, just pop it in and lever the assembly back to position.
The powerband of my kmx wont work
On the right side of the cylinder unscrew the casing it's should be three bolts and under it is the operating arm that opens and closes the power valves, start the engine and rev it when the rpms hit 6000rpm the arm should move, if it moves then the problem is propably coked up valves which will need cleaning, which will involve taking the cylinder head off. First just take the exhaust off and shine a touch up into the cylinder and pull on the arm and you should be able to see the valves open and close, if not you'll need to take it a part and see what's failed. Usually it the bar the levers pulling on, it snaps when trying to open seized valves.
How do i refit kickshaft
You will hae to checkout a manual picture but I usually use a flat head to lever the mechanism back to its position.
My voltage regulator (kmx 125) gets hot when
I think it's supposed to get hot, given its metal and has fins to dispurse heat, so as long as the batteries charging and the lights don't dim it's fine. You could check the charge with a volt meter, while the engines running I don't remember the exact voltage it should be at idle and under load but I think it's 12v idle and upto 13v under load, but check the manual for the exact voltages. If it out of specs it needs replacing.

You adjust the oil via the oil pump. The throttle cable splits, one section goes to the carb and the other to the pump, you adjust the play/tension of the wire on the pump, while pulling back the throttle to see if it's aligning properly at full throttle and idle.
Two strokes tend to be very smokey so unless the smokes an unusual colour it's usually not a problem. I have a Kmx 125 with a 200cc engine, I prefer running slighty rich on oil, better than running slightly lean! :)
Kmx 125 wouldnt start but
make sure your float isn't sticking, whats happening is its flooding itself while it sits,, and by you removing the cover and filter its allowing a massive flow of air to blow out the flooding and get the fuel air mix a little better,, see if it will start while holding the throttle wide open,, if so, your float is sticking
