How do I remove my mustang seat from my 2000 kawasaki vulcan 1500 classic?

On my Roadstar and my Triumph Thunderbird there is a bolt at the back of the pillion seat you remove, slid the pillion back and out then remove (2) allen head bolts from each side of the riders seat just under the edge of the seat. Slide the seat back and off. If you go to www.bikebandit.com they have a parts breakdown of most bikes and it will show the locations of the bolts and brackets. Good luck!

How can my

Stuck in 1st and neutral is correct on a Kawasaki...2nd won't engage until the output shaft is turning at approx. 12 mph. This is to make neutral easier to find at a standstill. If you spin the back wheel to a decent speed by hand then second should engage. The stalling problem when trying to pull away is due to the sidestand switch...it's either sticking or not engaging with it's activating bracket properly. If it stalls as soon as you put it in 1st then the microswitch on the clutch lever has a problem also...

What would cause a 1500 Vulcan to backfire

do you mean =out of the carb or out of the exhaust,,well carb backfiring is a very weak mixture and its still burning when the inlet valve opens ,and exhaust is that there is a air leak at an exhaust joint and the heat of the exhaust with the air leak ignites unburnt fuel

Kawasaki vulcan 1600 not charging after riding in rain

get a volt meter and check the three yellow wires coming out of stator / generator. All should read over 12.6volts, all should have same voltage. if not, chevk plug connections for burning or, if they are good, pull out stator for testing. If stator is good, replace voltage regulator unit, usually under seat near battery.

Just replaced fuel pump as that was diagnosed to be problem but still problem is evident

Carb is not letting enough fuel into the engine. That means the mixture is too lean. When you choke it, you restrict the air flow into the engine and now the air/fuel mixture is correct and it runs. Check the carbs and injectors if it has them.
