Hi whats the best way to deep clean carbs
The best way is to get your Kawasaki dealer to do the work. He or she has the parts, tools and expertise to return your carbs to good as new condition. Unless you have the same, you will be disappointed with the results and it will take you a long long time.
Air bledding radiator and engine
There is no bleeding it. The correct/official procedure is;- Tighten the drain plugs- Fill the radiator up to the thermostat housing filler neck with coolant.- Fill the reservoir tank up to the upper level line with coolant.- Start the engine with the radiator cap removed and run it until no more air bubbles can be seen in the coolant.- Tap the radiator hoses to force any air bubbles caught inside.- Stop the engine and add coolant up to the radiator filler neck.- Install the radiator cap.- Fill the reservoir tank up to the upper level line with coolant and install the cap.I hope this help,Sid.
My cam chain is rattley
There is a cam chain tensioner on the ZXR 400. It sounds like you need a new cam chain.Important Note: The cam cahin tensioner is held on by the two bolts that hold the clutch cable bracket underneath the timing cover. Never loosen these bolt and re tighten them. If you need to undo them, remove the cam chain tensioner and reset it.
Would the starter rely make bike cut out and not
hi,not normally, the starter relay only supplies power to the starter, but in saying that, check the feedline(red)from the relay back to the fuse box, some bikes have the electrical supply feed taken from that relay to supply power to the rest of the electrical system..cheers

My idol screw needs 2 b ajusted 2 factory settings
No you are confusing the idle screw (a thumb-screw) with the air/mixture screws, these are turned inwards (clockwise) until they lightly seat & then back out the specified amount
You should have the bike tuned by a professional who should include synchronising the carbs, this will let the engine run more smoothly, idle at lower revs ,increase speed & all-round performance speed

My zxr400 will not rev and carbs are clean
Are you sure there clean? did you dissasemble yourself?
I had similar issue and i
1. removed carbs
2. drained float bowls
3. removed main jets
I soaked main jets in carb cleaner, then blew all passageways with carb spray, then sprayed carb spray through all passageways in the carbs, i checked all rubber diaphragms for cracks especially the float bowl ones, my main problem was old varnished , gel like fuel traces which had built up from bike being idle over winter.
Once i completed this i reassembled and the bike idled steady and also revved cleanly to 15k revs, you might also want to check your fuel filter as it can effect flow rates if clogged with old varnished fuel
What year was it made engine number zx400ge oo8_ _
To Identify the year model look for the compliance plate.
It is usually found on the steering stem(on the frame between the forks).Turn the steering to one side to get a good look & use a torch.
Otherwise go to "buykawasaki.com"
This web site lets you input the engine number &will tell you what year it is.
OR- ring your local Kawasaki dealer & Quote the number. From this they should easily be able to Identify your model for you.
Hope this helps.
