Sounds like you have installed LED turn signals in place of the original incandescent ones.

You will need to install resistors in line with each LED turn signal to slow the flashing down back to normal.
"Trackside" products makes a load equalizing resistor for use with LED turn signals.

sometjin in electrical is worn or not connected rite--like the coil or ground--may need to do varius test as shown in a repair manual-like clymer etc

I fitted a Dyna green coil and electronic pickup from z650 but only wired in one pickup.

Your bike's engine is back firing ..this could be because of low level of fuel in the float chamber.
If you have cleaned the carbs , please recheck and reset the float chamber level.
Secondly both of the carburators have to work exactly at the same time..if they dont it will also kinda back fire and have uneven idling...check this too.
As for the air mixture screw .. once all is fine ....tighten the screw slowly all the way in to the last thn unscrew about 2 and half to 3 turns outwards .....you will notice the improvement of the idling.... its adivseable to check the valve clearance and reset them to specs.

You are probably dealing with rust in the tank. Clean your tank, check your fuel petcock to make sure the filter , on the intake , is still there, maybe add an extra inline filter just in case. Other possibilities, the float needle is worn out or the float is saturated with fuel and is sinking in gas. Take apart ,clean, and inspect the carburetor parts. See if the float sinks or floats in gas. Inspect the needle for wear on the sides and the rubber tip.

Have you thought about running a fuel injector additive though the fuel system lately? You could replace the air filter with a high flow unit. spark plugs will make a slight difference, as well increasing your fuel economy. you can always adjust the carburetor because of the age of the bike. try these out and I hope they help!
