These are the part numbers to the ignition switches for each bike. The problem you are going to run into is that there are security wires in the ignition switches. These wires tell the ecu that the bike is not being stolen. If you dont get the correct ohms to the ecu the bike will not start. The question I would have is why are you trying to change them? If you lost your keys you might be able to get new keys made. With out being able to switch the ignition on you will not be able to do a resistance check to figure out if its the same. And you will have to make sure that you have the same amount of wires coming out of the switch and that they go to the same places. Go to a suzuki dealership and ask for the wiring schematic for both bikes. That will tell you everything you need to know. If you can send a picture of both to me I will be able to read it and let you know if it will work and or if you will have to splice the wires to make it work. I know you said you cleaned the carb, but maybe something got in the carb when trying to start the bike. Because it sure sounds like you have a clogged pilot jet.

What state is the battery in? Fully charged? Did it work before the overhaul? Check your wires again from top to bottom
