If the sprockets aren't aligned properly, tension will be put on the belt, causing it to break.

Be sure the belt tension is not too tight. The belt covers are necessary, check that they are there. Be sure the belt is properly aligned/

11.5 ozs wet per leg (drain & refill). 12.5 ozs dry per leg. This is for stock forks with stock internals...

With all these different symptoms, I would start looking for a bad earth connection. Check all earth connections starting at the battery earth. Softails are inclined to corrode all the connections behind the rear wheel splash plate (behind the oil tank). Also, I have seen the wiring loom damaged under the seat right beside the battery connections. The cause of this is usually a non Harley battery with longer than stock connections and they rub against the loom shorting into it. This in turn can and has damaged ECU's.

(To check for leaky injectors, first remove the air cleaner and then with the throttle wide open, turn the key ON for 2 seconds and then OFF for 2 seconds five consecutive times and look fro any sign of fuel in the induction system. If there is any you will need to replace the fuel injector(s);

Undo 2 fasteners on back of seat rest/sissy bar.

Yes, the pistons will have to be pushed into the calipers. After removing the calipers from their mounts, remove the old pads. A C clamp works well for pushing the pistons in, just be careful not to damage the pistons. Using one of the old pads to push against may help. After installing the new pads, and remounting the calipers, don't forget to pump the brake levers until they feel firm. Also check the brake fluid levels. Good luck!

Late model Harley's have been having a problem with the rear brake light switch.Replace.A quick test is to unplug the two wires from the brake light switch, and jump them together with ignition on and see if the brake light illuminates.
