How to replace front and rear brake pads 07 custom
Yes, the pistons will have to be pushed into the calipers. After removing the calipers from their mounts, remove the old pads. A C clamp works well for pushing the pistons in, just be careful not to damage the pistons. Using one of the old pads to push against may help. After installing the new pads, and remounting the calipers, don't forget to pump the brake levers until they feel firm. Also check the brake fluid levels. Good luck!

Oil light comes on has oil
Just because you have oil doesn't mean it's circulating! With engine running, remove oil tank fill cap and get a flashlight and see if you can tell if oil is returning to the oil tank,If it's not circulating through the system, it won't be returning! If it is, the problem might be a bad sending unit.Test it to see if it's working.
88 softtail runs for 30 seconds and quits not
Take the fuel line off of the petcock and check the fuel flow at the carb fuel inlet. Catch the fuel in a catch can and let it flow for a minute or so. If the fuel stops flowing, you could have a bad right side fuel cap and the vent is bad. The tanks vent from the right side cap. The vent hose under your dash could be bad as well not allowing your left side tank to vent. As the fuel flows out, air must be allowed in or a vacuum will form in the tank and stop the flow of fuel.
Good Luck

Replaced stock brake lite with a new led. Why
The LED's have a very low amp draw and are very voltage sensitive. If you have access to a volt/ohm meter you can read the ohms of your new LED bulb, then read the ohms of your old tungsten bulb. Figure the difference and find a resistor to match this number and install on the ground side of your bulb. This will Load the circuit and should stop the pulsating.

Harleys are famous for drawing the battery close to dead, My dealer told me I had to take longer rides to make sure that it would charge enough to start again, if I needed to crank it over a lot, check the battery on a Load test to make sure its got the cranking amps needed ,
