These type of "beauty covers" typically have a small allen screw around the circumference of the cap somewhere that tightens against one of the flats of the nut. If no allen screw is found it could be held in place by a silicone glue. Try prying CAREFULLY as not to damage the cap. the actual nut is located under this cap.
