Try a dealer, ebay, craigslist. If you google around you can find some motorcycle salvage yards which could have the part.

Try checking the kickstand. It has a switch that will make it stall if either the kickstand isn't all the way up orig the switch is bad.

Question edited for clarity and maker. Question moved from 'Power Motorcycles' to model category. It could be. A diode is an electrical component that only allows power to travel in one direction. When they fail, there is no power in any direction. You can test it with a multimeter. It will pass Ohms one way, but not the other if it is working.

Why u need one..just a hose from tank to carb. The fawcett may b worn or floatbowl cliggd. Utube or buy a clymer manual

Bent the gear shift lever and doesn't have clearance? It happened to me a few times.

Check the ignition switch. If you have the manual, you can bypass the switch (hotwire) to check if the switch is at fault.

May be your bikes clutch plates are bad, try to replace the clutch plates it might work...

Yes put some BG Cleanr in tank for carb. Also inspect ign parts..bike is 30yr..components get worn n git hot causin firing issues.Buy a clymer Haynes or chilton manual taday

Sometimes there isn't enough amps to turn the starter and supply enough power to the ignition as well. Get a shopbook online. Compression cud b weak or fuel supply. Timing cud b off or batt not holden charge

after getting the carbs done..did you get them resynicurised..could have a float not adjusted correctlly or a adjustment screw not dialed in correctlly,all 4 carbs need to be adjusted insynic..if not will make for a hard start or run too lean or rich

It sounds like your bike has been sitting in storage for an extended period of time (a year or more) - and the carburetors are plugged up. If this is the case, they will need to be completely disassembled and cleaned out.
If it hasn't been sitting (and the carbs aren't plugged up) then check that all of the normal tune-up items have been performed, especially valve adjustment, oil and filters, spark plugs, etc. If this fails to produce positive results, perform a compression check on the engine. Each cylinder must be able to produce at least 140 psi of compression in order to run and idle properly.
