Honda CR250R. 2000 What the biggest size piston can go in a CR250 year 2000?
Question edited for clarity (again :) Always include full 'year make model' and in that order, as first 3 words please. That is the info that needs to leap off the homepage.
Question moved to model category (again :) There are over 10,000 to choose from.
The company that does the rebore will take care of all that. They are the experts, leave it to them. They will take it, measure it, bore it, hone it, supply the piston and rings
Another alternative is that they can bore it out and insert a sleeve and put you back to the stock size.
Before doing all this, have you checked for broken piston rings?

2003 Honda CBR 954 Fireblade not starting. Fuel pump isn't coming on. I checked everything, cranks but no start.
If your 2003 Honda CBR 954 Fireblade is not starting, and there is no power coming from the fuse block to the ignition, and the fuel pump isn't turning on, there could be several potential causes for the issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the Battery: Ensure that the battery is in good condition and fully charged. Low or weak battery voltage can prevent the fuel pump and ignition from receiving enough power to start the engine.
- Inspect Fuses: Check all the fuses in the fuse block to make sure none of them are blown. A blown fuse can cause a loss of power to critical components, including the fuel pump and ignition system.
- Check Ignition Switch: Test the ignition switch to see if it's functioning correctly. Faulty ignition switches can prevent power from reaching the ignition system and other electrical components.
- Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the wiring and connectors related to the ignition system and fuel pump. Look for any loose, damaged, or corroded connections that could be interrupting power flow.
- Fuel Pump Relay: Check the fuel pump relay, which is responsible for supplying power to the fuel pump. A faulty relay can prevent the fuel pump from turning on.
- Kill Switch and Side Stand Switch: Ensure that the kill switch and side stand switch are in the correct positions. These safety features can disable the ignition and fuel pump if not in the proper state.
- Tip-Over Sensor (Bank Angle Sensor): Some motorcycles have a tip-over sensor that cuts off power to the fuel pump and ignition if the bike tips over. Check if the sensor is functioning correctly.
- ECU (Engine Control Unit) Issues: There could be a problem with the ECU, which controls the engine's electronic functions. Faulty ECU or its related sensors could be preventing the engine from starting.
If you have checked all the above and still cannot identify the issue, it's recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified motorcycle mechanic or Honda dealership. They have the expertise and diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem accurately and perform the necessary repairs to get your Honda CBR 954 Fireblade back on the road.

When my Honda VTX is hot it stops going
If your 2002 Honda VTX 1800 loses power to the wheels when it gets hot, it could be due to several potential issues. Here are a few possible causes to consider:
- Overheating: Check the cooling system of your motorcycle, including the coolant level, radiator, and cooling fan. If the engine is overheating, it can lead to loss of power. Ensure that the cooling system is functioning properly and that there are no blockages or leaks.
- Fuel delivery issues: When the engine gets hot, fuel delivery problems can occur. Check the fuel system components, including the fuel pump, fuel filter, and carburetors (if applicable). Make sure they are clean, free from clogs, and functioning correctly. If necessary, clean or replace these components.
- Ignition system problems: Heat can affect the ignition system, leading to weak spark or misfiring. Inspect the ignition coils, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Ensure they are in good condition and properly connected. Replace any worn-out or damaged components as needed.
- Exhaust system obstruction: A partially blocked or restricted exhaust system can cause a loss of power when the engine gets hot. Inspect the exhaust pipes, mufflers, and catalytic converter (if equipped). Look for any obstructions, such as debris or carbon buildup, and clean or remove them.
- Clutch issues: If the clutch is not engaging properly when the engine is hot, it can result in a loss of power to the wheels. Check the clutch assembly, including the clutch plates, springs, and cable (if applicable). Ensure that the clutch is adjusted correctly and operating smoothly.
- Electrical problems: Heat can affect electrical components, leading to intermittent power loss. Inspect the wiring harness, connectors, and electrical connections. Look for loose or corroded connections, damaged wires, or faulty components. Repair or replace any problematic electrical parts.
- Engine performance issues: If none of the above issues are present, it's possible that there could be internal engine problems causing the loss of power. In this case, it's recommended to consult a qualified motorcycle mechanic or Honda dealer for a more thorough diagnosis and inspection.
Remember to follow proper safety precautions and consult the service manual for your specific motorcycle model during the troubleshooting process. If you're not confident in diagnosing or fixing the issue yourself, it's best to seek professional assistance to ensure a proper and accurate resolution.
