lots of bike problems come down to the battery or its leads. If the total electrics went I suspect the positive or earth may have a faulty contact or dry joint. get the battery load tested in the interim to eliminate it then have the leads thoroughly inspected.

Depends on the year. The older ones use an old car flasher. Usually under the fairing. The next generation used a black or grey turn signal module. Again under the fairing.
