2005 JGC start no start problem. My 2005 JGC will on occassion not start. All lights radio all come on battery is good key turns and nothing happens. No starter sound no nothing. I can try it a few hours later and it starts right up like nothing was ever wrong. Can drive just down the street to the store get back in ten minutes later and it won't start. an hour later it starts. Had starter replaced, that's what an expert told me to do. Problem went away only to return five months later. I have asked several Jeep service mgrs and they all say they haven't heard of the problem but it is the starter. I am not paying another $400 for a new starter that fixes the problem for a few months. Does anyone really know what is wrong with the 2005 JGC start no start problem. There are over 200 JGC owners one line at http://autoforum.classfieds1000.com/jeep_grand_cherokee/2005_jeep_gc_not_starting. Why does Jeep not recognize their problem?

Sounds like your starter is going bad, or your grounds are not properly placed.

When it don't want to start have a friend hit the gas tank while you try to start it, if it starts then it's your fuel pump

Theft light on on my 2005 for freestyle 4/4 6 cyl cant get out gear battery good lights come on radio comes on

It may just be a bad connection at the starter from the battery, or a bad starter. If it's clicking when you try to start it, then that's the problem.

My 2005 stratus will not start, it does not click

Sounds like it's not engaged in Park completely. Try starting in Neutral. Neutral-Safety switch could be bad. Also could be other things like a bad ignition switch or wiring problem.

Battery shows good, nothing happens when turn

Try to boost the car with another. If that works charge the battery and check the charging system, if it doesn't then you may need a starter.

No Start when key is turned

Ma wish to check starter it could be bad or have loose wires on it. There may be a starter relay in the fuse box under the hood it may also be bad.
