My AC for mazda protege 1997 is blowing hot air only; I was told the car had an electrical problem because the AC doesn't come on; but there was pressure when the gauge was attached. How can I solve the electrical problem? Thanks a million

Dear Madam or Sir,

if your car is equipped with an automatic climate control the problem will be:

a defective temperature flap servo motor or a faulty indoor temperature sensor.

Elseaway a defective expansion valve will be the cause of your malfunction.

I have a 1997 mazda protege with a coolinf fan prob. The fans work when I turn on the AC but do not work when the engine gets hot at idleing speeds. I replaced radiator and thermastate and also cooling...

No, the fans have separate relays. You have to use the wiring diagram to sort it out. The pcm turns on the cooling fan relay with a ground signal on a purple/black wire when the temp sensor signal rises too high.

My 1997 Mazda Protege heater does not blow air, i replaced and tested blower motor, resistor and fuses inside the cab. Still nothing

Before replacing the blower motor, you should have checked the motor's input wiring loom for power.
Do you have power here?

If you don't have power, then you need to check your blower switch output wires.

Air conditioner most of the time blows hot air, espesially after car is hot. Also the RPM of the car dont go up when airconditioner on

keep all the doors of car open for 4/5 minutes before you start driving ,
this avoids hot air blown when ac started.

Also AC runs on battery & compressor takes heavy current while starting & running to ,this causes RPM to go down.
Also check with local automaker for battery capacity remaining.

My mazda 2002 protege is running hot when ac is on

your car temp is hot because the air-con automatic fan/cooler on the condenser is not functioning. check the electrical connections from the switch as well as from the compressor. otherwise check the thermostat. the fan should run when the aircon is switched on.
