This fault code indicates a faulty vehicle speed input, in this model that is almost always caused by a defective ABS control unit, the ABS control unit reads the signal from the Vehicle speed sensor, that signal is then used to run the speedometer and other functions like the time to shift into overdrive on the transmission, this could be the speed sensor on the transmission that is causing this but previous experience tells me and other techs input that it is the ABS unit that is the failed part, the ABS can be tested for this fault by the dealer with special scan tools for the system, they can read live data to and from the ABS unit.
Did u read my solution?, you are not getting a speed sensor signal from the ABS modu;le to the speedometer, the speedometer is electronic, it takes the signal from the speed sensor and that is translated into your speed displayed, this signal comes from the ABS control unit, in the module, so in most cases the ABS control is defective. I guess U don't understand what i said in the 1st post.
U have the correct answer, replace the ABS unit, (Antilock Brake System)

SOURCE: check engine light on, code p1633 pops up, battery good what now!
check the alternator you should be getting more volts than that..
SOURCE: 2002 mercury sable DOHC check engine light
A flashing light indicates that the engine is misfiring enough to damage the catalytic converter, this needs attention ASAP, otherwise after the misfiring is repaired, you will be buying a new catalytic converter, the damage may have already been done. as for the p1633 has the battery run low and you had to jump it off, or recharge the battery?
SOURCE: hi, i have a problem
Code P1633 simply means that the Keep Alive Power (KAPWR) circuit to the Engine Control Module has been interrupted. This could be due to a dead battery where you had to jump-start your vehicle or because the battery was disconnected for any reason. If your battery is hooked up and in good condition, the code will clear by itself.
SOURCE: code p1633 keeps coming up
CODE P1633 - PCM KEEP MEMORY VOLTAGE TOO LOW. WHEN YOU SEE THIS CODE THE PCM HAS DETECTED THAT THE KEEP ALIVE MEMORY POWER CIRCUIT TO THE BATTERY WAS INTERRUPTED.
SOURCE: check engine light
Ford code P1633: Keep alve memory voltage low.
It means the voltage going to the computer fell below about 10.5 volts to set the code.
Have you experienced battery problems recently? Or had the battery disconnected?
Things to check for: bad battery, low alternator output, battery cables, and power and ground circuits to computer,
Hope you find it, good luck.
