How do I reset the "service due" light on my 2009 Audi A4 2.0
Press and hold BOTH right and left panel knobs while turning the ignition key to the ON position, the regular ligts come up and cycle. The message 10000 miles till next service should come up meanng the service is reset till next service cycle.
My bad. Using a scan tool go to guided functions. Select service work, Go to reset service light, Follow the screen prompts. I had read A2 in the header of the question instead of A4.
You should be able to use an obd 2 reader with after market software. Be sure your car is listed on the applications before you buy though. The parts person should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Thanks for no luck. I get the same start-up messages with or without the two buttons depressed. Either approach, I get a message about needing to depress the brake pedal to start the car, then a message about the passenger side air bag not activated and then the "service due" message. I tried other combinations of only depressing only one of the buttons followed by turning the ignition on. By the way, I have to depress the key, there is no turning of the key on this 2009 A4 model. Any other suggestions?
Thanks for the suggestion but not luck. I depressed both buttons while depressing the ignition key to the on position. You can't turn the key on the 2009 A4 model I own. with both buttons depressed, I get the usual start up messages of make sure you depress the brake pedal to start the car followed by a message stating the passenger side air bag is off. The next message is "service due". I also tried depressing only one of the buttons while turning the ignition on but all combinations have the same results. Any other ideas?
Thanks. The A2 error in the header was my fault. Can I procure a scan tool at an automotive store or is it a tool only used at Authorized Audi dealerships?
