There should be lights warning you about it. Check the oil often. If you run it without oil, well, you may blow the cylinders and pistons.

When cold, my 87 camry puts out 60-65 psi oil pressure. After it heats up, this pressure drops to 15psi and the oil light comes on. There is only about 70,000 miles on a rebuild with a new oil pump. C

If the sending unit is working correctly, I would say the oil pump or engine is failing.
You can replace the sending unit or have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge to verify.
Its also possible the engine oil is being diluted by gasoline or other liquids.

Yellow engine light

Yellow engine light on the dash board of Toyota Camry is the indication of low oil in car.----------- Get the oil checked and refilled.Driving the car with low oil is not advisable.------------- There is a reset procedure to stop this yellow light on dash.In some cases this helps ,but in some cases the oil needs to be refilled to stop this yellow light.------------- I will mention the reset procedure as follows:-- Turn on the ignition switch, set the mileometer reading to miles not trip meter, turn off the ignition fully, press the button to reset the trip meter and keep it pressed down as you turn on the ignition key to key on engine off, keep it pressed down for about 15 seconds and then the light will be reset. -------------- Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

1994 camry will stall while driving normal speeds. Check engine light and airbag light comes on. Vehicle will start immediately but lacks power and misfires. After cool off vehicle will perform properly...

4cyl or V6?? Have your ignition coil checked and you vehicle scanned for the check engine light. If this is a 4cyl the coil is inside the distributor cap (possible oil leaking into the cap, very common on 4cyl camrys). If its a V6, have the Crank and cam sensors inspected. Hopefully this helps!!

Oil light in 1999 Toyota camry comes on when idling.

bad to worn out oil pump or excessive oil passage clearances that allowing more oil to pass thru them at a lower pressure due to the bigger opening. It can be a sign of an emminant engine failure due to oil starvation.
