How to fix the heat system in a 97 Saturn sl1...it is only giving cool-cold air and i just replaced the thermostat and flushed the radiator. What do you think the problem may be?

Maybe the heater core is plugged or perhaps you have an air pocket in the cooling system. Try and bleed the cooling system once more.

    Check e valve that controls the hot water flow into your heater radiator. If it does not open then it is stick or the vacuum line has a leak somewhere. Check the vacuum hose behind the climate control

Kinda sounds like you still have air in your cooling system. You will have to air bleed the system.

You need to fix the coolant leak, then refill and bleed cooling system, then you will get heat and cure overheating problem too

One or more of:

1. Your coolant is low
2. Your thermostat doesn't close and needs to be replaced
3. The valve from the cooling system to the heater core is stuck
4. Your heater core is clogged

Poor heater output. Engine temp is ok. Blower air flow if ok. The engine water pump was replaced, before that, no heat at all. Now heat, but poor. any ideas? This is a 1997 Saturn SL1
You may have a bad or corroded heater core...if the air flow is weak, bad blower motor...

Coolant Leak in 1997 Saturn SL1
if there is no heat coming from the vents i would bleed the coolant system for air, usually trapped air in the system will cause this lack of heat.
