Hi my 1995 Lincoln cartier cranks has no spark in the plugs or coil, im thinking crank sensor, can you tell me where it would be located.

Check fuses first and relays and check for spark at each plug wire //fuses to check € coils , fuel injection , idle air control valve, throttle position sensor, fuel pump ,pcm etc. Plus there relays ok

It's behind the a/c compressor just above the oil pan on the passenger side of the block on a 4.6 Romeo engine

Go to a library that has a set of the factory service manuals (not Chlton's or Haynes or Motor's). The FSM's will give you all the trouble hotting charts that the dealer techs use.

SOURCE: no spark, new coil still no spark, crank sensor? 95 dodge ram 5.2 l

Could possibly be the ECM or computer it may be the crank sensor. The crank sensor is probably the cheepest so I would start there. Since it sound like you may be throwing parts at this, since you cant drive it to have a diagnostic done and you can't have the crank sensor tested, I would buy a used one from a junk yard to see if that is the problem to save a little money since you may have to buy somthing else if that does not work. Good luck

2005 LS Lincoln Automatic 5 speed V6-3.0 throttle body the shop can't get it started new throttle body but nothing no spark plug coils fuel Injectors not talking does it need a new computer

Before going to the extreme of new computer i would check the crank angle sensor. With older cars there was a ignition distributor a mechanical part that physically triggered each spark plug when it needed to fire. That has been phased out so the crank angle sensors job is to inform the ecu of the rotational position of the engine to trigger the spark plug coils and injectors. It usually reads of the flywheel or the crank pulley

My ed 4.0 falcon wont start. Im going to buy a 5.0 commodore tomorrow do you think this will solve the problem????

Crank sensor to module to coil pack to plugs. There may be a failing component. I would check Crank Sensor first. If you are getting spark to all cylinders, then rule out coil packs, if only spark to one or two cylinders, then replace faulty pack.

Where does a crank sensor sit on a 1996 lincoln continential

It is located down by crankshaft. If you follow the spark plug wires down to the coilpack & module. Then from module straight to crank sensor

Car wont start

being 94' im sure it has high miles, cam and crank sensor common to fail over time do to wear and heat exposure. check the basic, make sure you getting fuel and sparks. fuel pump only work as long the engine is turning over due to the crank sensor sense the flywheel turning. crank sensor may be faulty. no sparks, check coil make sure is good and putting out 12v, auto zone can test it for free. good coil, than check cam sensor, cam sensor senses the cam turning and tell the ecu to tell the coil to disperse the sparks to the plugs. cam and crank sensors, there no way of testing it but replacing the unit unless you have the special equipment to test it; both is fairly cheap to replace, check ebay.
