This is a car and truck forum. Best to repost in another forum, but putting gauges on the system will tell you a lot.

Make sure you have the recirculation is on so you have cool air going through the case instead of outside air.when turn on recirc should hear noise like blower speed increasing. It's really not but it opens a door right by the blower motor. Here in Texas that's the only way to get them cool have to run recirc all the time.

SOURCE: Air Compressor will not come on. Fuses look good,

low side connection is in passenger fender well. Compressor should be running when you add freon. Jumper the 2 pin connector for the a/c cycling switch on the bottle or in the low side line.
Also, put can in hot water so it can evaporate faster to go in.

My 2012 Lincoln MKX only blows cold air from the drivers vents and only blows hot air out the passenger vents regardless if I have the ac on or heat on. Please help.

bad blend or mode damper door motor actuators. is cause (maybe)
we know how to move them by hand motors off (actuators)
hot all the time is blend unless AC compressor is dead.
yes blend doors can jam fully to hot, sure can.,
It needs service, there are other causes.
most of the tests you can not do. or easy.
there are 2 systems here.
  • the blower distributor system. (dampers 3 or more0
  • or
  • the AC R134 loop dead or weak.
what I do is make sure the compressor runs
and if does,
move the blend door by hand (my jeep has built in self test of this)
and by hand I put the damper to evap core only mode and if no cold air now, the loop is bad and I stop here, lots more tests from hear.

or he AC condensate drain is clogged even covering up deeply evap core . blocking is air flow., and super common this and a simple fix.

Where is the ac drain hose located on a 4th gen ram 1500

Hello Steve Ma,

It is going to be UNDER the EVAP (cooler) coil...
where all the "cooling" should be taking place.

The result of "cooling" hot & soggy AIR is
(frost) condensation...

Working properly the ambient heat will keep the
EVAPORATIVE cooler from icing up (( and excess water will collect in the pan at the bottom ... ( LOOK there for a drain
hose )))... Directed straight out of the underside of your RAM...

Right above that WET SPOT on the pavement.

Happy hunting

My air condition in my 2005 Kia Sedona is not that cold. I notices that when it is really hot out side (over 100), its not that cool, It will become cooler after about 25-30 min in the car on a trip. But...

well R134 refrigerant, thats the refrigerant that was put in that vehical at the manufacturing plant, will always work better at highway speed when the rpm,s are spinning the compressor faster. but you may also have a slow or small leak causing the system to operate at less than optimim level.

My ac compressor on my 95 audi 90 turns on and off continually, and does not blow cold. does it just need a recharge, or could it be more?

How may miles is on the car?

Get an AC LOW SIDE psi garage and check on the LOW SIDE hose PSI.

MAKE SURE IT"S LOW SIDE.

High side can shoot up to 140 +++ PSI

BE CARE REAL CAREFUL

If it has 45+ PSI then do a charge with the auto part store R-134A kit.

If it's below 45 psi then you has a slow leak. Fill up will be last only hours or weeks.

Fix it right and be good to our environment.

A?C BLOWING HOT AIR

Make sure your system is fully charged with r134. The low pressure switch won't allow it to activate if there isn't enough in it.

AC does not work

Check the fuse for the A/C and try refilling the A/C with R134. You can buy the re charge kit at Auto Zone or Wal Mart, almost any Auto parts store. If the system is low on R134 the A/C compressor will not activate to keep it from burning out.
Try checking the fuse first then re charge the system with a can 12oz of R134. Just keep in mind not to over charge the system. Just follow the instruction and you'll be fine.
Keep me posted, be glad to help out.
