2014 Ford Fusion hybrid rear view camera is intermittent when the transmission is in reverse. Is this something that can be fixed without taking it to a mechanic?

depending on which trans it is there is a small dipstick on the trans at the front on the bottom these transmissions take a specific fluid so be careful
