If the other window works the left contact in the switch is dirty and needs to be ckeaned

Testimonial: "thank you, makes sense."

  • stephen peirce Oct 15, 2019

That's the one you use the most for yourself clean the connector and make sure it fits tight if it still doesn't work the contacts inside are fouled for that window you'll see right away that they are black from use use alcohol and a rag a very lite swipe with a nail board that the girls use will get it off but clean it again to get any grit out each windows contacts are bent copper/brass arms that pivot with with the button push and must both make contact at the same time to complete the circuit so you get this right 1 arm will go foward and 1 arm Will go backwards depending on up/down position you'll see what I mean when it's open in front of you do not put grease on the contacts it will short out the switch from melting and running to parts of the switch that it shouldn't be ok and thanks for the helpful rating

Could be a bad window motor. Have you checked to see if the plugin at the motor is getting power. If yes then check the switch.

SOURCE: fuel pump wont run and keep blowing a fuse in the front fuse box

The power wire to your fuel pump must be shorting out somewhere. Disconnect it and see if your fuse still blows. If not, then follow the wire all the way back to the fuel pump, and look for a bare spot. Good luck!

It's a 40 AMP fuse.
Go to this FREE Ford website and download the owners manual for your car, it shows all the fuse locations and functions. I tried to do it for you but I can't get it attached to FixYa.

SOURCE: Can't find backup light fuse

I suggest check in the Passenger Compartment Fuse Panel the position 28, 15AMP for Brake Shift Interlock, DRL Relay Coil, Speed Control Module, Backup Lamps, Trailer Tow Backup Lamp Relay Coil, Electronic Shift On The Fly Hub Lock Solenoid, Vacuum Pump Motor...

zjlimited_957.jpg

The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Remove the panel cover to access the fuses.

Hope this helps (remember to rate this answer).

SOURCE: I have no power going to the fuse box on 1967 Ford thunderbird

The power comes from the ignition starter switch, it is most likely defective. I recommend you have a professional check this before you purchase parts.

Which fuse on my 2006 ford mustang 6 cylinder is for the power windows.

https://s1.postimg.org/njebqcna7/power_windows.jpg

Click on the link for part of wiring diagram. You can see fuse and relay in smart junction box. The smart junction box, behind right hand lower A pillar panel, passenger side. I can't walk you through it, because I'd have to look at it.

Hey Joe, not trying to bug you. If I spend time trying to find info, I'm going to post it, regardless of how many answers on the post. You should do the same. Have a good day.

I dont know where the fuse is located for the power windows and dome lights.......

There are 2 fuse boxes / fuse panels in nearly every Ford product: one directly above the driver's left foot (when the driver is actually sitting in the driver's seat). The other is inside the engine compartment, on the right side - contains high current fuses.
The window fuses should be in the fuse box inside the car. It appears that fuses #10 (30AMP), #11 (15AMP) and #26 (10AMP) are the only relevant fuses associated with the power window circuit for this vehicle, according to the Ford wiring diagram. Hope this helps.

I think replacing fuse #26 should fix both the windows and the dome light.

I am looking for the fuse location for the power window on the drivers side front of a 2004 ford freestar minivan.

most of the fuses are in the fuse box under the hood, you may find another small fuse box under the dash as well, if the other power windows are working it is most likely not a fuse as all the windows are most likely on the one fuse,it could be the switch or a loose wire or the window motor.....hope this helps.....cheers

Where is the fuse for the right door window? Honda Element 2003

Fuse 22 (20amp) in the interior fuse box (just to the left of the steering column, down low, behind the access door) is the front RIGHT power window. Fuse 23 (20amp) is the front LEFT power window (I think that's the one you want).
Hope this helps you.
