What happened was someone broke into my car and tried to steal it.....they must have stuck something in the ignition because there is something broken in the ignition. At first I was able to get it to crank with a screwdriver but it would never turn over and start because of the security system. Now it won't do anything at all. All the lights and radio will come on when I jump it but I can't start it at all

SOURCE: 99 Ford Ranger won't start because of theft system?
try turning the key to the acc position and leave it in that position till the light goes off. if it goes off then turn key off and then try starting if that dont work call a ford dealership and ask a mechanic
SOURCE: theft system and check engine light blinks and car will not start
Any alarm system can be bypassed
SOURCE: Fuel pump won't run Theft system shows P1260 code
It sounds like the computer chip in the key is bad. They get damaged really easy and that will cause the fuel pump to stop. If the "Theft" light is flashing continuously when you try to start it, that is the problem. You should be able to get a new key from the dealer or off ebay, and have it programmed. Should be under $100.
SOURCE: 97 mustang want start just turns over
no you cannot bypass it. What you can do is put an OBD I computer in it or there is a programmable ECM on the market now. These are very expensive options and alot of skill is involved. Where are you located?
SOURCE: how do i reset the
The system reset any time the correct ignition key is turned to the run position or the door is locked and unlocked with the key, there is a sensor on the lock cylinder. If this is what you have done then already then the system have problem and you will need the dealer to scan it for fault codes. You may have a defective key transponder sensor in the ignition lock cylinder.
