Do you know what a wiring diagram is an how to use it along with a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter to test to test electrical circuits ? You probably don't know how the starting system works on that vehicle ?
Circuit Description (Key Start)
For ignition switch power modes refer to Body Control System Description and Operation . When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position a discrete signal is supplied to the body control module (BCM) notifying it that the ignition is in the Start position. The BCM then sends a message to the powertrain control module (PCM)/engine control module (ECM) notifying it that CRANK has been requested. At the same time the BCM is supplying 12 volts for the IGN 1 relay closing it and supplying battery positive voltage for the crank relay coil. The PCM/ECM verifies that the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If it is, the PCM/ECM grounds the control circuit of the crank relay. When this occurs battery positive voltage is supplied through the switch side of the crank relay to the S terminal of the starter solenoid.
Is the security light lit on the instrument cluster ?

well i am a saturn tech and i doubt it costs $800 just to replace a sensor, im just guessing the sensor is $100 or so plus fluid can be expensive and labor, but i doubt $800 sounds high get a list of what exactly is wrong with it and what they are doing

Its a GM anti theft security system thing. Check out this link, explains everything and maybe possible answers depending on your car. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/
Check with you local dealer and see if the key is supposed to have a chip in it to start the vehicle. Or maybe just maybe try pttig the key in the driver door and turn the key to the unlock position three times and see. But first and foremost call your dealer. Hope i helped?
SOURCE: no fuel getting to start engine
I would replace the fuel filter first then go from there .. Could be a few things causing bad fuel delivery

TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING
IMPORTANT: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door
lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming
sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all
previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the
programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to 4 transmitters can
be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the
vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode.
This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect
vehicle.
Install 1. a scan tool.
Use the scan tool in order to access the Body Control Module (BCM) Special Function or
Module Setup: Program Key Fobs.
2.
3. Press the START soft key on the scan tool.
IMPORTANT: The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are
programmed.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter.
After a delay of 5-10 seconds, the scan tool will indicate that the transmitter is programmed.
4.
5. Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
6. Remove the scan tool.
7. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
