Sounds like your innner or outer or both CV Joints are bad.The rubber cover gets a crack in it & slings all the grease out leaving a dry bearing noise. You always want to replace inner and outer CV joints and both axles on drivers side & passenger side.
Sounds like a bad wheel bearing.
I heard that from my mechanic and then I got a second opinion and they said it was the cv axel because of the sound it was making
If the sound changes as you go from left to right, I would just about guarantee that you have a bad wheel bearing. A bad CV axle will make noise when you turn sharply, not when you just sway from left to right.
It was the wheel bearings
Good to hear you got it sorted out.

SOURCE: A low growling noise when turning left only on '04 Silverado
Intermediate shaft is the most likely cause for this and your right there have been issues.
SOURCE: Loud roaring noise in front, steering wheel has vibration, replaced tires didn't help.
Wheel bearings are likly and I've changed many to solve this problem but it's esy to pick the wrong one with e vehical jacked and on jack stands suporting the car by the lower control arms ( normal ride hieght) run the car with a driver and listen to ti run , of course theres no load on the powertrain so there will be some lash ( power on to power decline ) cheack up. The roaring noise can be isolated by puting a sounding bar ( long metal rod ( sr=crew driver)) other against the part till the sound is rounded up rear but possible the carrier bearings in the (rear end) front drive. The axel bearings and on some units the carrier bearing thats in the CV axel on the block. Sounding rod will find and change the noisey part. Professional help is a good idea if you can't carry this out saftly

It sounds like it is def. the wheel bearing. If you can get it on a hoist and let it down with something to stop one side of vehicle at a time and let other side spin freely you will likely be able to determine which side. Or if you have no hoist, jack up vehicle one side at a time and spin wheel listen for growling and also move tire in and out to check for looseness.
SOURCE: a whirring sound, maybe power steering pump
HI. You power steering fluid level may be low at this point, a quick inspection of the fluid level, will be in order, if possible. Once you have verified that the fluid level is sufficient, move on to the actual power steering belt and unit. Make sure the belt is tight, and rotating the pulley. If the fluid level is low, be sure to fill to specifications.
Now, If the pulley and belt are rotating without a wobble, and the fluid level is sufficient, this will lead to a failed pump. The pump should be replaced in this case. Make sure you exhaust all inspections points mentioned before replacing the pump.
