Odd are...no. Because of the electronics involved. Look up a rebuilt transmission on a website such as Rockauto.com and see if the transmissions for the two vehicles are the same. Lots of subtle differences are often present between models and years which make them incompatable. If your transmission doesn't work now I'd just have it tested then removed and repaired instead of taking the risk of installing a transmission that won't work and having to remove it again.

SOURCE: jeep 2008 patriot esp light on Malfunction

Check under drivers door sill step. There is a spice I believe the wires are red or pink in color. The splice will be wrapped in black hockey tape looking stuff. Peel the the hockey tape stuff off and you will find that this splice is corroded and not making contact anymore. You can repair this splice and your problems will be fixed. Be sure to use some good heat shrink on your repair to prevent from happening again.

check fuse make sure wire under steering wheel is contacting metal and check horn with voltage to see if its good and also use voltmeter to see if there is voltage present when the horn is depressed

we cant guess what you are driving nor your country here.
nor engine.
they match trans to engines. for correct shifting, etc.

why not say why and not send skilled help on goose chases.

lost the operators guide already?
its there, every light and its meaning.
each lamp , usually says, get it serviced.
so what is there to tell?
if really curious, or DIY with super huge shop of tools
you can read the FSM. and learn the steps there for diagnosis
mine is 7000 pages long. shop manual.

Gap size for ngk vpower spark plug for 2010 jeep patriot sport

Spark Plug gap is 1.1 mm (0.043 in). Original Spark plug are set to 0.44 inch slightly tap them down to 0.43 inch. They should be fine even at at 0.44 inch which is close enough.
