2005 jeep wrangler rear defrost wiring for hardtop conversion-defrost stays on -switch for same does nothing-kit came with 10amp fuse,no mention in instructions but I assumed it was to go in fuse panel where it says defrost switch-slots for fuse are there but no metal connectors inside

It should be behind the glove box door.

Are you sure that this is for 20AMP, according with the repair manual, the position 20 in the Power Distribution Center if for Power Motor ABS Pump, and is 10AMP.

I tow my 2005 Jeep Wrangler behind my motor home. I installed a Jeep trailer towing wiring kit to the rear lights. the bought a long trailer wiring kit and ran it from the front of the Jeep to the Jeep tralier wire plug. Pluged it in and pluged the other end into the motor home trailer light recptacle. I used only four wires plus ground. There is probably a way you could tap into the wiring harnes under the hood but not having a wiring diagram this is the best I could come up with and all lights do work. You can buy a test plug with led lights that plugs in both male and female, real handy for checking connections.

check to see if someone has installed a tow hitch on the rear,they would have spliced in the wiring in the rear of vehicle,thats where i find alot of corroded wire that were poorly taped.

There is normally a diagram printed onto the the inside of the fuse case.

there is a fuse under the hood its a 10amp fuse... when you open then cover you will see 3 red 10amp fuses is the at bottom
