Confusing post but here goes first of all are the shoes (a) facing the right way that the longer lining is in the front? And (b) did you install the retaining springs in the right place (holes in the brake shoe)and the right direction) next you say new lines were put in so ,did you use a tubing bender to shape them along the way you routed them and at each wheel cylinder are you sure you didn't make any sharp bends like 90* and that all fittings are not leaking next when you adjust the shoes extended to just barely get the drums on then further adjust them so when you turn the wheels there's a drag on them /a little effort to spin the drum with the tires on/// are you sure you have the adjuster levers facing the correct way and last of all are you following the bleeding sequence that is needed to get air out of the lines and also did not press on the brake pedal with no fluid in the master cylinder or with the bleeder valves open suckling back in air ? The bleeding sequence for all motor vehicles cars/ trucks is (and I don't know if your in the U.S.A. if you are then follow this ) the first wheel is the farthest from the master cylinder / RIGHT REAR/ LEFT REAR /RIGHT FRONT /LEFT FRONT YOU MUST BLEED UP ONE WHEEL AT A TIME UNTIL IT SHOWS NO AIR AND ALL FLUID COMING OUT AND WITH NEW LINES INSTALLED YOUR GOING TO GO THROUGH A LOT OF FLUID 2 BIG BOTTLES NEEDED USING 1 1/2- 13/4 OF IT IF NOT ALL OF IT AND MORE POSSIBLY // YOU MUST CHECK EACH LINE FOR LEAKS ESPECIALLY THE T BLOCK ON THE REAR END AND THE RUBBER HOSE ATTACHED TO IT AND EACH LINE AND RUBBER HOSE ON THE FRONT CALIPERS TO FRAME LINE BLOCKS ON THE SUBFRAME AND THAT YOUR HELPER IS KEEPING THE PEDAL DOWN AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES WITH THE VALVES CLOSED AND HOLDS IT TO THE FLOOR UNTIL THE BLEEDER VALVES ARE CLOSED AGAIN AFTER OPENING THEM TO LET FLUID AND AIR OUT IF ALL THAT I MENTIONED HERE WAS DONE CORRECTLY THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEMS BUT IF THE REARS ARE LETTING FLUID OUT OR THE VALVES THE PROPORTIONAL VALVE IS WORKING FOR THEM BECAUSE ONLY 1 LINE COMES DOWN THE FRAME USUALLY TO FEED THE REAR T BLOCK FITTING THEN LINES COME OUT TO EACH WHEEL ///IF FOR SOME REASON YOU DON'T HAVE ONE //NO ENGINE SIZE GIVEN 4.2V 6 ? 4.6V8 ROMEO/WINDSOR 5.4V8 /NO DRIVE TYPE GIVEN (2WD OR 4WD) AND YOU JUST HAVE LINES RUNNING FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER TO FITTINGS FOR FRONT AND REAR THERE'S EITHER A LEAKING FITTING AN OVER BENT LINE (TO SHARP CREASING THE LINE) OR SHOES IN WRONG DIRECTION LONGER LINING IN THE BACK INSTEAD OF THE FRONT ( LOCKING UP WHEEL)HARDWARE NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY OR OR YOU HAVE BLOWN THE MASTER CYLINDER SECONDARY SEALS FOR THE REAR BRAKES THE FRONT BRAKES STOP THE VEHICLE THE REAR BRAKES ASSIST THEM BY KEEP THE VEHICLE STRAIGHT IN LINE OTHERWISE THE TAIL WOULD TRY TO SWING AROUND OK THAT'S ALL I CAN TELL YOU GOOD LUCK STEPHEN

SOURCE: parking brake adjustment

There is adjustment nuts for the cables under the cover on the park brake lever, You may be able to adjust them, but more likely the cable to that side is corroded and needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: have a 97 sunfire put

I would replace the driver's side brake hose, they're usually under $20 at an auto parts store. (Buy a bottle of brake fluid)

As the hoses get older, they can collapse, or build up debris inside that blocks the flow of brake fluid.

I PUT NEW BRAKES. HUBS AND WHEEL CLY. ON MY 94 TEMPO. THE LEFT SIDE BLEEDS BUT THE RIGHT SIDE DONT. WHAT CAN BE WRONG?

Sounds like a leak in the brake line.
In the first place the front disc brakes do 70% of the work to stop the vehicle .
When you need to bleed your brakes you break into the system this lets fluid out air will get in every time so even a pin hole in the line or at a fitting will let air in slowly .The problem is air is compressible fluid is not so look for leaks at rear lines and fittings its vary common for rear lines to rust out and many inexpensive ways to repair them .
An other thing to know is when bleeding brakes is if you didn't open the front lines you don't need to bleed them but with the rears start with the farthest one away from the master cylinder passenger side rear 99% of the time and work back to the master .
I think your whole problem is a rusted out line 94 thats a lot of road salt good luck

I have a 67 Bonneville with drum brakes in front. It pulls to the right when braking. I have readjusted both sides and replaced the flex hoses but still pulls. Any suggestions?

Justin, Not sure if you put in new brake shoes/drums etc. Brake Pedal should be firm not spongy when you press brake down, and not spongy. Push brake pedal down hard and hold, if pedal sinks to floor you have air in lines or bad brake wheel cylinder. When adjusting the brakes , Make sure Master brake cylinder is full!...Have the tire/wheel bolted on...adjust the brakes so brake shoes cannot be tightened up against drum any further. This will center the whole assembly. Wheel should not be able to spin whatsoever...Then back off the star adjuster to loosen one click at a time while trying to spin the wheel. Make so the wheel just barely turns without the brake shoe dragging (inside assembly) on the brake drum. Do the other side so it is exactly them same looseness as other. I like to have brake adjustment so wheel turns almost completely freely with a little drag from brake shoe. Then try driving. If still same pulling...Bleed the brakes to remove air out. (Should be You tube videos showing how) While bleeding brakes, remove master brake cylinder and refill with fluid after you bleed the brake line for each time you bleed then close the brake line bleed bolt/screw. After you do left and rt front...then trying driving again. IF it still pulls....You can disassemble the whole front brake system both sides and rebuild both of the brake cylinders with kit or buy new assembled brake cylinders and replace by simply unbolting old and bolt in new. Clean all brake parts and backing plate with brake cleaner spray from auto stores One or both brake cylinder pistons inside the cylinders maybe corroded/dirty and seizing up causing one side to be doing al the braking. It would be a good time to buy all new hardware kit for each front assembly as well as long as you have it apart. With brakes removed...have brake drums checked to see if still in spec...as drums could be worn out past spec...If worn uneven ...have them turned/machined just the minimum amount to bring back in spec. Good time to replace inner and outer wheel bearings as well if not replaced for long time. Be on the safe side...Many local car clubs have members who would be happy to help you. Check your local National Street Rod Association for help! There are repair manuals for your Pontiac you can buy as well. Some people might tell you to put on expensive disc brake conversion...Don't ...unless you are filthy rich. It's Simply not needed. Good Luck. Many online you tube videos showing you what to do.

Right rear brakes keeps messing up on a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus, we keep buying new right rear brakes about every two months or less. Can you help us out?

You have to make sure the brake system is operating properly.Change both rear brakes it sounds like the left rear brake side is not working making the right side wear out so quick. After changing the back brakes bleed them making sure you have no air in your brake lines.start bleeding them from the left rear to the right rear to the left front to right front to master cylinder.

1999 f150 anti lock brakes

John, My 99 F150 had an abs light on and I found the right side front wheel sensor wire had fallen off of the inner fender mount and burned the insulation and grounded the wires together, I taped up the wires and tied it up and the light went out. Your ABS module is located directly beneath your air cleaner next to and just above the steering gear box. It is black plastic and silver alumnium. Says Kelsey-Hayes right on and has six brake lines attached to it. As for the rear brake take that drum off again and have someone help by pushing the brake pedal down while the drum is off press lightly and very slowly, verify that the brake cylinder is moving, do not push hard and fast as it will probably blow the pistons out of the cylinder! If is is frozen replace it and bleed and it should be fine. The brake light is probably on for low fluid. Let me know how it goes.

Trying to bleed abs brakes on my 1997 ford f150

Bleed your brakes by filling the master cylinder, then bleed at the wheels in the following order: right rear, left rear, right front and left front, ensure the master stays full and then test to ensure all air is out

Pull to the left, Brakes

Sounds like it was pulling before the brake job...if so the only thing you didn't replace was the rotors, I assume you turned them? and did you see hard spots on the rotor? discolored area that didn't cut the same......switch the rotors left to right and see if the problem moves or just replace them if they've been cut twice.
