If it is not the wires in the door (which is common) then it could be the BCM (body control module) usually located behind the dashboard.

Check the wires that run through the door pillar they do break in time as door opened repeatedly .

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee the power windows,power seat , door would not lock , and the inside lights would stay one ..i thought it was a fuse problem but no fuses for that ... in the rubber boot between the door and frame ..the was the ground wire was split ... put a **** connector on it everything works great now ....

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...

I just had the same with mine, pull the rubber boot back on the drivers side front door and look for a severed wire, mine was black...simply spliced the wires back together and problem solved!

You need to remove all the skrews from the door. Normaly there is one in the handle of the door, one behind the in door lach handel and one under the bump out for the arm rest on the door. Than you need to take a flat head skrew driver slowly priying the panel off. There are plastic clips on the backside of the panel it is ok if you brake a few.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BROKEN WIRES BETWEEN DRIVER'S DOOR AND BODY AT A PILLAR..PULL RUBBER BOOT FROM BODY AND DOOR AND INSPECT WIRING HERE

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4 x 2, windows and door locks work on driver side, but not passenger side.

sounds like an open power or ground circuit on passenger side,since the door lock and the window,lost its functioning.Both switches would have to be bad at the same time,which is not probable, to be the fault. Unless there is a saftey lock out switch on the drivers panel,controling the passenger side door lock and window.

Windows will not work from drivers side master switch or the single door switches lock not working also remote mirrors dont 2001 jeep grand cherokee ltd

First thing to check is the fuses. Look underneath the drivers side steering wheel (to the left) for a covered fuse box. Remove the cover and find the fuse that controls the locks and windows and mirrors (two-three separate fuses) Pull them out "one by one" and see if they are burned out. If they are, replace them with the correct number fuse.If it is not the fuse, the door lock actuator has failed (for the door locks) or the master switch that controls the locks is bad. Go to your local junk yard and find a replacement for cheap

sounds like you have broken wire(s)between driver's door and post..if you are missing a power or ground feed to master switch,other side will not function as well

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.It sounds like the gears maybe stripped or the linkage may be broken
