No fuse. It has a solenoid at the starter. If your car does not crank and the battery is good with good connections, then you may have a bad solenoid or starter. With the key in start position, have someone strike the starter with a hammer. If it starts then replace the starter and solenoid. If it does not, then you may have an anti-theft problem with the ignition.

SOURCE: pontiac sunfire

I had that problem last year. I bought a new starter but it was not the correct one for my car. For the 98 there are two different starters. I bought the wrong one the first time. My step father started to put it one and realized it was not the same as the one he just pulled off. Ending up taking it with us when we returned the orginial one I bought. The orginial one I bought was about $70 the correct one was $400. The auto store did not have the correct one listed as a replacement part. Until the number off of the part was keyed into the system and found out that it was just not the common replacement part.

It's usually in the engine compartment in the underhood fuseblock.

SOURCE: 1998 pontiac sunfire, where is te turn signal fuse

When you open up the drivers side door there should be a panel right on the end of the dashboard. Pull it open and look there. I generally have the fuse diagrams but can't seem to find it for your car. It might be written on the inside of the panel you pull off. You should also have the diagram inside of your book you got with the car unless someone took it out. Look in your glove box it might be there.

How to bypass airbags after a crash on a 2004 Pontiac Sun fire

Find the starter relay in the main fuse box and take a piece of 12awg stranded wire and find the hot terminal and jump it across till you hear your starter engage then pull it off. Turn the key on and see if it will crank. I had to do the same thing with my 92 New Yorker.

I would check the Maxi-Fuses, you may have blown the main fuse.

2004 Sunfire Problem starting and shutting down on occasion

I'd want to check voltage and ground for fuel pump relay. The load side of relay is the line with arrowhead, when relay is energized that line with arrowhead moves to other terminal and sends voltage to fuel pump on gray wire. The control side of relay is that coil symbol, it has to have voltage and ground, the voltage comes from pcm, the ground is a chassis ground. The voltage for load side of relay is fuse protected, fp/inj fuse. fuel pump-mo2osvehtzbwzhstuaetpz2s-2-0.jpg

2004 Pontiac Sunfire Does crank position sensor control fuel pump?

no, when you turn key on you should hear pump run for 2-3 seconds, if not check fuses, then if fuses are good have someone tapped fuel tank with rubber hammer as key is turned on, if fuel pump runs after tapping tank, replace fuel pump
