First while the engine is running, look under the hood and see if the air conditioner compressor is turning. If it is not then using gauges hook them up and see if the system has pressure. If both gauges show 80 psi or more then you have an electrical problem somewhere in the system. Check fuses and connections. Hook up a 12volt feed wire to the positive feed connector on the compressor( green wire). If it starts running then check the electrical system.
If there is no pressure or very little then there is not enough pressure to override the low pressure switch. Carefully add a lb of 134a freon to the system and see what happens.

first off is the clutch on the ac compressor engaging when you turn on the unit...If it is not make sure it is getting juice by using a test light or meter...Assuming it is all fine to that point locate the low freon switch and unplug the connector off of it and take a piece of wire and jump it across the contacts inside the connector plug, if this causes the compressor to engage then it is either low or out of freon. Now you need to determine if it has a leak or you can do what the rest of the world does and just add freon and hope that it last for a while.They do make a sealant for it also. More than likely the evaporator has a leak but hopefully not...just remember to jump out the low freon connector or it won't **** in the new freon...

if its the computer climate controlled series then it might be the the vents. what happenes some times is the vent wont switch over from hot to cold or vise-versa. i had the same problem but reversed, no heat in front and it worked up to the last time i had switched it from hot to cold.
