First up, check the rear brake shoes don't kneed adjusting, if you just adjust the handbrake, you end up with a handbrake thats not very good at holding you on a hill

Adjust the park brake and also have the rear brake pads checked, they may be worn out.

Handbrake light on also indicate brake fluid level maybe low. Check and top-up. If ABS light still comes on, get your car scanned for ABS error code.

the rachet and lock on the handbrake handle itself is faulty and either needs 'loooking' at or replacing. leave the car in gear in addition to the handbrake to make sure ur car doesnt do a runner while u are waiting for repairs.
