To Remove:
CAUTION
Be sure the ignition key is in the off position, unless otherwise instructed in these procedures.Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the timing cover.
Align the crankshaft sprocket and camshaft sprocket timing marks with the alignment tabs on the timing chain tensioner.
CAUTION
Before removing the timing chain, measure the distance between the hole in the bracket and the unworn surface of the timing chain tensioner shoe. If the distance between the hole and the unworn surface of the timing chain tensioner shoe is more that 8 mm (0.314), replace the tensioner, timing chain, and both sprockets. Remove or disconnect the following:

Removal & Installation
Continuation of the removal and installation of the gearTiming chain tensioner bolts.
Camshaft sprocket bolt.
Camshaft sprocket and timing chain.
Torx bolt and the tensioner assembly.
Crankshaft sprocket using J22888-20 puller or equivalent.
To Install: Install the crankshaft sprocket using J 5590 installer or equivalent, it must be seated against the crankshaft.
Install the timing chain.
Install the timing chain tensioner.
Compress the timing chain tensioner spring.
Insert a cotter pin into the hole in the tensioner hold shoe.
Install the timing chain tensioner.
Finger tighten the timing chain tensioner bolts.
Align the crankshaft timing marks with the tab on the timing chain tensioner.
Align the camshaft timing mark with the tab on the timing chain tensioner.
Install the camshaft sprocket and install the timing chain.
Tighten the timing chain tensioner bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
Remove the cotter pin from the timing chain tensioner.
Install the timing cover.
Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
