SOURCE: 96 Jeep Cherokee WON'T start

i just had the same exact problems as zeeladys. It was the crank sensor shorting out and causing the short to shut down circuits in the pcm, volt gauge, fuel gauge, no spark. Locate the connector to the crank sensor, it runs beside the distributor, with the key to the on position unplug the connector and see if the gauges come back on. If so, simply replace the crank sensor and ur off and running

SOURCE: 2005 jeep grand cherokee radio

It's in the engine compartment IOD#2. It's a black module with two fuses in it. Take that module off and replace the 20 AMP one.

Is there some were I can veiw a fuse box online for a1997 jeep grand cherokee

Bound to be online, somewhere. Google "jeep fuse box diagram". I found a 96 grand cherokee diagram in just a moment's search. Many, many pages there. Also jeep forums, 4wd.com; libraries are an excellent source also, if you can find the right repair manual. Good luck.

'96 Grand Cherokee--- The battery is drained now after 3 days of not in use. When the Jeep is off the radio staying on and the clock too. What can I do?? Alex

You can take the fuse out everytime you get out or you can have the radio installed by a professional because it sounds like whoever hooked it up hooked the yellow wire to the battery power wire which runs continuous power to your radio.

I HAVE A 94 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE PUTTING A PIONEER DEH-1900MP STEREO IN AND WHEN I SHUT IT OFF THE STEREO WONT SAVE THE PRESET STATIONS

the problem is you dont have the battery wire on the radio hooked up to a 12v constant. it sounds like you have to take the battery wire of the radio and hook it up to a wire that stays 12v all the time even when the car is off.
