SOURCE: Cigarette lighter sockets no power
Cell phone chargers commonly blow the fuses at the power points. It seems that our charger adaptors do not match the socket properly, and the positive part of the charger hits the negative of the socket, resulting in a blown fuse. If you have a charger, and it works, leave it in the socket. Don't take it with you. Repeated insertions of the adaptor to the socket magnifies this issue.

The fuse for the cigarette lighter is the 15 amp CIG fuse. According to my wiring book, the fuse box is either behind the console, passenger side for US cars, or under the dash, driver side.

Thank you so very much you were the only person that helped me after spending 2 days on the internet
Sorry it took so long. That was an easy question. Did your wire melt? The fuse is there to prevent melting when something too powerful is plugged into the socket.
